Southern Oklahoma Board of REALTORS® Reports February Housing Statistics

Ardmore, Okla. (March 13, 2023) – The Southern Oklahoma Board of REALTORS® reported on residential sales activity for Love, Carter and Murray counties for the month of February.

While SOBR reported a decrease in closed sales compared to February 2022, the number of new listings has increased since January.

“The average sales price is up approximately 27 percent versus this time last year in our area,” said Todd Yeager, SOBR 2023 President. “This brings the average year-to-date residential sales price for Southern Oklahoma to $216,540.”

The association also noted that the average days on market have decreased and the number of closed listings in February 2023 was 45 units.

“The uncertainty of rising interest rates and increasing inflation affect all aspects of our lives, especially the real estate market,” Yeager said. “Luckily, our local market typically doesn’t experience the extremes observed in other parts of the country. We as REALTORS® will continue to work to provide the most accurate and relevant information to buyers and sellers in an effort to help navigate the market conditions of today.”
